Straight answer on names: the work is Vivayos’ work. Vivienne exists because the same team kept being asked the same question after launch — who looks after this now?  Same people, same standards, a service built for the years after the launch party.

Oak Hill School

2023 · oakhillschool.oakhillct.org

Special education for Connecticut students with disabilities

The school sat on a subdomain that did not reflect the quality of the work inside it, at a moment when families were searching urgently — the deck named the children’s mental health crisis as the timely need.

  • Design-thinking discovery: business, families, competitors, current state
  • Moodboards and experience fragments, then sitemap and wireframes
  • Navigation built for both ‘hunter’ and ‘gatherer’ visitors
  • WordPress CMS the school’s own team can run, with news and events
  • WCAG 2.2 AA, mobile responsive, contact form into their existing workflow
  • Recorded staff training and 30 days of post-launch support

It became our pattern for organisations running several sites at once.

Mental Health Resource Center

2024 · mhrc-ct.com

A service of Gilead Community Services, Middletown, CT

Gilead Community Services was launching a new public resource centre and needed a home for it — one that felt welcoming to people in distress, and visually connected to the Gilead brand without disappearing into it.

  • Standalone website designed to guide people and families to services and support
  • Fresh, empathetic design related to the parent Gilead brand
  • Parenting education class content with sign-up forms
  • Copywriting for the key pages
  • WordPress CMS for the Gilead team, WCAG 2.2 AA minimum
  • On-site visit with staff, recorded training, 30 days of post-launch support

A good example of a small, focused site that has to work under emotional pressure.

The Village website design
Design presentation, Vivayos

The Village

A 200-year-old Connecticut nonprofit serving families, children and adults

The site was unattractive and clumsy, and even staff struggled to articulate everything the organisation offered. Research showed visitors were overwhelmed by how content was organised.

  • Design-thinking process: stakeholder interviews, then user testing of prototypes
  • Simplified more than 70 service offerings so they could be understood, found and used
  • Rebuilt navigation around visitors, with routes for both browsing and focused searching
  • Heavily customised WordPress, including a custom-built plugin for submissions
  • SEO and user input together driving the information architecture

The clearest illustration of what discovery is for: the win was in the sorting, not the styling.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut

ctbigs.org

Volunteer mentoring across Connecticut

Key pages were not doing the one job that mattered most — inspiring more people to volunteer.

  • Redesigned the key pages on a reduced-fee nonprofit basis
  • Focused the experience on recruiting volunteers
  • WordPress training for in-house staff so they could manage the site themselves afterwards

A smaller engagement, and proof that not every project needs to be a full rebuild.

American Association for Physician Leadership website design
Design presentation, Vivayos

American Association for Physician Leadership

The nation’s leadership programme for physicians and clinical leaders, 50+ years old

The site had grown into a tangle of UX problems. World-class resources for doctors existed, but most of them were effectively impossible to reach.

  • Spoke to real physicians to learn how they talk and what they actually need
  • Elevated, modern redesign built on that research
  • Led the wider rebrand: visual identity, voice and positioning
  • Three years of on-demand creative services on a monthly basis

The long-run version of this relationship — build it, then keep showing up.

Every one of these had a day 31.

Thirty days of post-launch support is standard. What happens in month four is the actual question — and that is what a care plan is for. Plans start at $199 a month.
